AlphaPlus^® - A Developmental Resource

Developed by Leanna Traill^TM, and Literacy Learning NZ Ltd consultants, for learning at home, at pre-school and at school.

The AlphaPlus^® collections can be aligned with the learning targets for children at the three broad stages of reading and writing development - emergent, early and fluency stages. The components in each collection work together to support and extend knowledge and skills in the fundamental aspects of emergent and early literacy development.

Individual AlphaPlus^® components can be used by teachers for modelling and scaffolding alphabet, writing and spelling strategies, and for both implicit and explicit instruction with individual children, small groups, or whole class teaching. They are accessible, manageable, motivational and supportive tools for children in all classrooms from Pre K through Grade 2.
