THE LEANNA TRAILL™ INSTITUTES: Five days of intensive professional development for regular and specialist classroom teachers, teacher leaders, literacy coaches, student teachers, para-professional teaching assistants and principals in elementary and middle schools.

TRAILS TO LITERACY™ Operating in schools in Oregon for the past eight years, Trails to Literacy is a highly successful long term, site-based, schoolwide, comprehensive school reform model for elementary and middle schools in high poverty, diverse, learning communities.

PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOPS:  Five key modules designed with a schoolwide focus for regular and specialist classroom teachers, teacher leaders, literacy coaches, and principals in elementary and middle schools.

Modules and workshops within modules can be adapted and customized to support and enhance instructional delivery and student achievement with a schoolwide or literacy leadership focus, for specifically targeted inter-grade level groups, or for teacher and principal representatives from schools district wide.

PRINCIPALS' LEADERSHIP COURSE: Leanna Traill™ and Literacy Learning (NZ) Ltd consultants offer a comprehensive nine day course in schoolwide change and instructional leadership for principals, or for principals and literacy leaders in elementary and middle schools.

SCHOOL-BASED INITIATIVES FACILITATION: Leanna Traill™ and her consultants will work alongside principals and staff to co-ordinate and facilitate site-based action towards achieving priority schoolwide improvement goals. For example: Co-coordinating schoolwide Curriculum Planning and monitoring its implementation over a year or longer.

DISTRICT CADRE TRAINING: Leanna Traill™ and consultants will work with district administrators to plan and provide on-going training in literacy leadership strategies for selected groups of teacher representatives from all, or a number of, elementary schools within a district.
